Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Mine has several brushed touch ups from the previous owner. They’re there if you look for them but first glance you can’t see them. I’m still after a full respray though...

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
So past few days I have had some time. Had the soundproofing put back in the front footwells, carpets and centre console back in and it's all looking great.
Started on the new rear bench seat. Had to pull the old one apart to get the frame and use the padding to fill the space at the sides. Looks great I think.

Kind of happy that is all going back together. Carpet needs a clean but that's easy.
Found a working late sunroof too so that's on its way.
Nearly read to move to the outside and pull the front bumper.

I’m sure there’ll be more joys awaiting you behind the bumper - Calibra is the gift that keeps on giving

It's going together well, it won't be long till she's back on the road bud

Phill.
Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Cheers, she is road legal. It's bumper off tomorrow
Re: Newbie rolling resto.
So this happened today. Bumper off, arch liners off and wheels. Next pic will show the Re priming and then a bit of truck bed liner to protect.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Finally got some time to get the raptor on the arches. Hoping this stuff is going to help me have a good well protected daily. Got more put back on too, resonator box in(I know most remove)
Touch up of the bumper paint and blacked out the V grille to start the new look, will be satin blacking the sunroof and boot spoiler and the badges too.

I don’t think I’ve seen Raptor before - is it like a stonechip protector, rubberised or whatever?pigthief wrote:Finally got some time to get the raptor on the arches. Yeah it is a truck bed liner that is used a lot on the underside of off road vehicles. Needs another coat to make sure but I need a compressor for that.Cliff wrote:I don’t think I’ve seen Raptor before - is it like a stonechip protector, rubberised or whatever?pigthief wrote:Finally got some time to get the raptor on the arches. Re: Newbie rolling resto.
New purchase whilst I wait for parts to arrive to put front bumper back on.
Pics to follow of the new black v grille, sunroof and roof spoiler. Smoking the headlights this week too.
New bumper brackets on route so I can secure it properly and regain good panel gaps as they were awful before.
Hammerited the front shock towers and calipers too.
Now I have a working sunroof I have got some new longer bolts to secure them and I will be wire locking them in place too.
