Newbie rolling resto.
Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Had some down time from the car (diy) have to keep the funds coming.
Have had a few things sorted, New turbo spoiler picked up, waiting respray also some black interior plastic from and early car, got the new bushes for the door check straps to sort the crack noise on the doors.
And as this picture suggests I have found an irmscher number plate surround for my rear plate. Very happy.
Also had the driver's seat repaired. All coming good.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
New roof spoiler arrived.
Not been that busy due to work. Wheels nearly ready just need tyres.
Got battery cover and strut top covers in stainless to go on, also have a pair of front mudflap now just want fitting kit now.
Got some plastic glue/filler to have a go at the external trim and Re paint in bumper grey.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Spoiler looks good IMO - but does it hide/shield the rear brake light or?
Re: Newbie rolling resto.
I don't have a high brake light on mine. I need to shorten the wiperCliff wrote:Spoiler looks good IMO - but does it hide/shield the rear brake light or?

I do want to source some original dark calibra plastic for the pillar trim but at the minute my sprayed black will do.

What model of Saab did you get the sun visors out of bud.

Thanks bud, not been on for a while due to covid decorating lol. Good progress happening to your car

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Some time this weekend, recut the threads on the turbo spoiler and got two coats of primer on. May needs a skim of filler as have a slight dip on the top, not sure how bad it will be yet.
Got the last wheel sprayed too ready for lacquer.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Had some time past couple of days and managed to get the spoiler sorted. Took a lot of time primer and sanding to get it right. Wheels sorted and pick up tyres on Tuesday. Getting there now.
Also had the seats wiring done and they are ready to be fully fitted once I figure out how.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Loving the heat at the minute, gets my paint to dry dead quick.
Roof cover/spoiler painted and lacquered will fit at the weekend and drop on the shorter wiper.

Re: Newbie rolling resto.
Found a broken rear spring, so I have found a good set of lowering springs, will bring the car down by 40-45mm all round.
Hope it's clear of the tyres
anyone got pics of a theirs lowered that much?
