Glove box light and cigarette lighter back light.

Hi folks. Am finally here sussing out the new forum.
Can anyone help? Some time in the past I butched my cigarette lighter power feed to add neons. I didn't like them and so removed them!

Now my glovebox light and cigarette lighter back light don't work. The bulbs are fine. I find the glovebox one really handy so any ideas what it could be? I checked the related fuse in the fusebox, that was fine too.

Sounds like your feed has a break in it. Carry out a check to see if there is a power feed to it.

Guessing it is a power feed issue. Where to check for the break?
Everything seems to run from each other!!

You should be able to pull out the ashtray and test the 2 connectors on the back of the fag lighter, using a multimeter (or similar).

Thing is the fag lighter works fine. I though the lights for the lighter and the glove box used at least part of the same feed?

hmm i've got a similar problem mate, i hi-jacked the cigarette lighter for my amp (don't ask) the lighter still works fine but it doesn't light up and the glove box one doesn't work either its got me stumped! i can only think the extra current has melted or broken the illumination loom somewhere
i'm like you though..i want everything to work or i get annoyed
