Phase 1 chip Over Boost problem.
I have installed my Phase 1 chip from regal and plumed in a boost gauge and started to wind the actuator open. I quickly get to about 15psi over boost and the 13 psi standard which its meant to be but no mater how much further I wind the actuator it seems to be stuck about 15psi and not allowing me the 18psi over boost the chip says its capable of.

Does this mean my actuator is old and duff or am I missing something silly!?

If the actuator is stock, and original, then it's done a good job up until now as it is... and is probably due replacement.
Get a strong replacement anyway, £120 job. Then you'll have better holding of that boost after you've adjusted it up.

Yeh, i've run an uprated actuator on phase1, it works fine, the only downside is when switched off you force slightly higher boost.. so.... im not sure if its then safe to do so.. because your effectivly running the stock map and forcing higher boost??? so i would just leave the kit turned on, and be gentle with your right foot if you go that route
